Alice opens her eyes to look around the garage as she finished up her joint. The smoke began to mock images of Thomas. She can make out his face within the clouds. She watched his body form with it and he began to run, away from the smoke, away from her, until a second smoke strand caught up with him and tightened around his body, constricting more and more until Thomas was no more. Sergei Zhukov was graduated from St. Petersburg University in Leningrad, Russia, and wanted to be a physicist. However, World War II was just starting, and the Germans were on the Russian doorstep. During a college project, he had developed a long-range bear-hunting rifle, and the Russian Army was interested in him and his ability to develop an even longer-range sniper rifle. He did so, and the Army High Command commissioned him to go out and follow the German SS Panzer divisions that were invading Russia and shoot as many of their high-ranking officers as possible. He was very successful. In three years, he was in many engagements, some lasting only one day and others lasting many months. He and his spotter and two wolf dogs lived off the land any way they could to survive. The German SS sent out hunters after him on many occasions. The German SS had also put an extremely large, ever-growing bounty on him. His response was to send back the bounty posters to the SS division commanders attached to the well-chewed SS hunters, with a message: “The Eye of the Wolf is upon you.” He became an enigma to the German SS and a folk hero to the Russians. His missions started at the Poland/Russia border and went on to Moscow. He was then sent to the Crimea, then Stalingrad. He then went back north to Leningrad, and each time, he engaged the German SS panzer divisions.

This book is a work of fiction that describes man’s inhumanity toward man after WWII and until very recently in 2013. Members of the “master race” did not want Negro blood in the veins of German children who were offspring of the trysts between Negro soldiers and German prostitutes. The soldiers are looking for good sex and a stable home environment while the women were looking for a provider and a weekend lover. All couples are deeply infatuated with each other. The storyline is a sequel to The Freedom Murders with the same cast of General Sarma Goldbond, Carlos Espinosa, and Nicolas Haig. All antagonists are active members of the Associated Speerwerthers Society of Bonn and Berlin, Germany. The general theme is for Nicolas and his team to discover perpetrators that do not want to be found or brought to justice. They start their search knowing nothing, but through due diligence, they work their way through the fog and maze to find success at the end of the day. And the punishment that is applied is of the order that was approved by all the associated authorities, judicial, administrative, and otherwise. At the end of the day, just fairness is applied and the protagonists move on to Berlin where a similar den of inequity is known to exist.

Trafford Publishing Author David Osborne was born in a family of thirteen children in Pike County, Ohio, and raised in Scioto County near Portsmouth through some stops in Kentucky. He graduated from Northwest High school in McDermott, Ohio, in 1961. Even though he obtained an academic scholarship from Ohio University Portsmouth Branch, financial and family issues caused him to drop out before the semester ended. He took his father’s advice and moved to Columbus, Ohio, and went to work. 

In 1963 he married Patricia Pickard and was drafted into the US Army about a month later. During his military time, he decided to renew his dream of teaching, and he went back to college. After attending Southern Colorado State College in Colorado Springs, Colorado, he spent time at Florissant Valley Community College in Saint Louis, Missouri, before graduating from the University of Missouri, Saint Louis. He obtained a BS degree in political science and then moved back to Southern Ohio to begin a teaching career. A couple of years later, he obtained a master’s degree from Xavier University at Cincinnati. In addition to retiring from the Naval Reserve as a chief petty officer, he spent almost forty years in education being a teacher, assistant principal, and a principal. His last assignment was a principalship in Savannah, Georgia, and that is where he retired. After his retirement, he worked at several other positions, but his main goal was to become a successful writer. This is his fifth book, including three Western novels that allowed him to become a member of the Western Writers of America.

The techniques in this workbook are based on the principles of cognitive and behavioral psychotherapy for depression. When I slept upstairs I would wake up and hear noises during the night. That’s when I got really scared of the dark. I was too scared to go downstairs to the bathroom so I wet the bed.
