Trafford Publishing Author William Truesdell has been writing plays, poetry and short shorts for thirty years while making a living as a professional arts marketer and manager. He has also been a professional actor and radio announcer. His career in the arts has taken him to major regional theatres in Chicago, Boston, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Dallas and Kansas City. Truesdell also worked with symphony orchestras in Chicago and Cleveland. In Cleveland he also spent six years with the acclaimed Cleveland Museum of Art during which time he visited virtually every major art museum in America, London and Pairs. Truesdell grew up in several small towns in Minnesota and Illinois as his father, a radio announcer, jumped from job to job. A self-described “radio brat,” he went “on the air” himself at age 17; and soon after qualified for a third class radio operator’s license to take the evening and weekend announcer-engineer shift at WRMN in Elgin, Illinois west of Chicago. He continued working in radio while studying theatre and playwriting at Illinois State University. William Truesdell and his wife Susan, have a daughter attending the University of Kansas. They live in metro Kansas City two blocks from the Kansas-Missouri border.  Free Preview
