economic history from Leicester University, and worked in an office ever since.

His first intro to fantasy fiction came with Rudyard Kipling and the Jungle Book. He spent his early life reading copiously in all genres and subjects, but came to understand that sci-fi is a master genre, in which all lesser genres can be subsumed. Any genre from romance to political allegory to epic adventure can be set on another planet, in another time or another reality, and acquire extra dimensions of meaning and power.

Overview

Would you be Geanetta La Roope, and believe that it is your duty to make Peace for the sake of Humanity? Would you be Randall Scott, and despise all warmongers? Would you be Rudi Kingston, and despise all peacemakers? Would you be Jack Devereux, and give up on Humanity to save yourself? Would you be Wispy, and give up on yourself to save Humanity? AuthorHouse UK | My Untold Torment

AuthorHouse UK
AuthorHouse UK | My Untold Torment
AuthorHouse UK Authors experience trumps assumption! This is my memoir of what I have experienced the last thirty-two years of my life as a white South African woman married to a white man of Portuguese descent. This book tells of the deep humiliation, discrimination, and cruelty I and my precious daughters have suffered at the hands of my husband’s DNA providers (in other words, his blood relatives). All this because I was born in South Africa and he immigrated to South Africa when he was two years old. His DNA providers still think they are Portuguese, even though they have lived in this country for forty-eight years. They are vehemently opposed to him being married to a South African, although we are of the same color and race. I live in a small city with my husband and my three precious daughters, whom I absolutely adore. If not for them, I would have given up on life many years ago. With God’s grace, I have taken back my power and my life and will no longer allow the DNA providers to continue to slowly destroy my soul.  Free Preview

AuthorHouse UK | I Found God Through Birds

AuthorHouse UK
AuthorHouse UK Author | Kiandokht Namsehchi

AuthorHouse UK Author Kian is forty-one and has experienced living in both Iran and in England. She has been receiving these amazing bird transmittals for exactly twenty-one years. She can still recall the high point of her life when she understood that God makes Himself available to each one of us, sometimes through these celestial messages. In the course of all her messages, she has had ample opportunity to study birds and finds them intelligent and wise.

Kian wishes she could completely comprehend birds when they speak to her, although she didn’t always have this ambition. In her own words, “I never studied birds formally. Before following this path, my life was headed in a different direction. I studied banking management at university and started to work in the corporate world. I met my husband, and we married. I left my country and started a new life in England. Soon God gave us two children. While raising them, I focused on learning the language of my adopted country. When my youngest was a year and a half, I went back to school for accounting. It was about the time I finished my studies that I began to formulate my idea of writing a book on my experiences with birds. I had no choice but to write this book. Even in my dreams, corrections were suggested if I took the wrong approach with a topic. Also in my dreams, I learnt I was to connect with the people who ended up helping me write this book.

“I do find it strange that I never dreamt I would have these communications with birds, nor that they would use their body language to teach me as they did.”

Kian welcomes e-mail contact from her readers via knamsehchi@yahoo.com.  Preview Here

AuthorHouse UK | Little Boy and Mr. Scary Snake

AuthorHouse UK Reviews

AuthorHouse UK | Little Boy and Mr. Scary Snake

AuthorHouse UK Author, D. A-Gravill An Italian national D. Ajala-Gravill was born in 1975. Ajala-Gravill, grew up in Bologna and subsequently moved to London where she studies Children Counselling and English Literature. Little Boy and Mr Scary Snake is her first interactive, children’s illustrated story book. It is a story of a child who has to do the right thing in order to face his fears. Little Boy, the protagonist, ends up doing the bravest thing he has ever had to do. Faced with adversity of every kind, he manages to extricate himself from his unfortunate predicament.

It is the story of a child’s rite of passage. During the course of the story, Little Boy must endure fear, ridicule, and the disbelief of well-meaning adults in his life. These kindly and well-intentioned grown-ups are easily identified by their evocative names. Throughout the story – from the moment he recognizes the difference between right and wrong in Mr Scary Snake’s behaviour, to his disbelief when faced with the reality of the self-absorbed world of the adults who fail to understand his fears – Little Boy goes through momentous thinking processes.

When his cries about Mr Scary Snake fall on deaf ears, Little Boy becomes afraid of not being believed. His frustration almost overshadows his palpable fear of Mr Scary Snake. It is Little Boy’s determination, internal values, morality, courage, resilience, sense of justice, and finally trust, which helps him to overcome and conquer his fears.  Read More
